The Grasshopper Flying Club, incorporated in 1971, is located at the Hudson Valley Regional Airport (KPOU) in Wappingers Falls, New York.

The club consists of a group of friendly people who enjoy flying and being associated with other people who have a similar interest. We believe it is important to continually acquire the knowledge, develop the skills, and reaffirm the attitudes required to maintain safe flying proficiency. We feel this is absolutely necessary to ensure the safety of our members, passengers and to protect the equipment we jointly own. We strive to keep the cost of flying as low as possible while still maintaining safe equipment and the. financial health of the Club on a long-term basis.

In order to keep membership investments low, we have elected to purchase older, well maintained aircraft. The Club's membership includes pilots, students and flight instructors. The Club provides an excellent opportunity to continue learning, enjoy flying and to experience the benefits and responsibilities of aircraft ownership in an enjoyable social atmosphere.

Scheduling

A primary advantage of membership in the Grasshopper Flying Club is easy and flexible aircraft scheduling:

  • We use ScheduleMaster for fast scheduling online, mobile or by telephone.
  • No minimums.
  • Up to three current reservations.
  • Reservations up to 14 days without approval.

Membership dues are $70/month.

Club Meetings

KPOU-Meeting-Map

The Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the "Yellow House" adjacent to AAG (see map). Please feel free to join us but please contact us before attending since the meetings are sometimes at 7:30 pm or over Zoom.
